2016 Triskelion Pinot Noir
Triskelion is the result of Seth Curry, a lover of classic Oregon Pinot Noir, uniting with the Momtazi family to create an authentic clean wine with a purpose. Both Seth Curry and the Momtazi family believe that by caring for our planet and our neighbors, we can create lasting change in the world. Aromas include rose petals,
pomegranate, black currants
and hints of fresh earth.
Velvety tannins open up the mid
palette giving way to bright
acidity, pomegranate fruit and
a medium long finish of clove
spice and fresh tobacco leaves.
Vineyard Notes
After an unusually warm
winter, a similar growing season
followed that brought bud break
late in the month of March
versus our vineyards normal
bud break period of late April.
Flowering happened quickly and
the consistent summer heat led
to the first grapes being picked
on September 8th—Maysara’s
earliest harvest pick date on
record. The 2016 wines
captured tantalizing fruits and
bold structure characteristic of
a consistently warm growing
season in the McMinnville AVA.
Winemaker Notes
100% Native yeast fermentation; Aged 17 months in 100% neutral French oak
Other Notes
The Momtazis believe in holding vintages until the wine is fully evolved, rather than releasing chronologically. Each vintage is unique and should mature on its own timeline.
